After weeks of landslides, floods, and destruction, the monsoon is finally losing strength across most parts of India. According to the IMD and Skymet, the chances of heavy rainfall are now very low as we move past the first week of September. While flood-affected regions may get relief, humidity and rising temperatures will pose a new challenge — especially in Delhi-NCR, UP, Bihar, and MP. Rain may continue in eastern states like West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, and parts of South India, but overall rainfall will remain below average. Experts say that the withdrawal of the monsoon usually begins by mid-September and continues till mid-October.
