Hi Everyone, My name is Alex Moore and I'd like to welcome you to PUTTING FROM A CADDY'S PERSPECTIVE. By way of an introduction, in this video I'm just doing a few of our bread and butter putting drills that kept our skills sharp. They didn't take us very long, about 10 minutes, but they were very productive. The last thing you want to do when you're practicing, or before you're about to go out to play, is miss a putt. Our old pre-round routine used to be roll a few across the practice putting speed to gauge the speed. Then drop 10 or 20 3-ft putts, to hear the 'ker-plunk' as much as to know that you've just made a bunch of them when you're standing over the first one in the heat of battle. When we were camped out on the practice green after a practice round that's when we'd put in the hard graft. String lines, mirrors, tees, gates, aids and me as the ball returner :) In the hotel room of an evening, that's when we used to roll a couple of hundred putts on the Boomerang, just to check stroke mechanics.
