These instructions are meant to guide His people in how to live a life that is pleasing to Him, and are a reflection of His character and values. Overall, Deuteronomy 6:17 teaches us the importance of living a life of obedience to God's commandments. Prayer for the day: Dear God, we come before you today with a desire to diligently follow your commandments and to live a life that is pleasing to you. Help us to stay focused on your Word and to seek your guidance in all that we do.
