Holy Spirit, Lord of Light (The Golden Sequence | Pentecost) by Bruce A. Larsen

"Holy Spirit, Lord of Light" (or Golden Sequence) is an anthem by Bruce A. Larsen. The text is attributed to Pope Innocent III (c.1160–1216) and the translation is by Edward Caswall (1814–1878), slightly altered by Mr. Larsen. The soloists are Stephen Schmall (tenor) and John Jagoe (baritone). Conducted by Robert Vickery during high mass on Pentecost Sunday, May 30, 1993. Mr. Larsen composed this beautiful setting of the Pentecost sequence (Veni Sancte Spiritus or "Come, Holy Spirit") in the early 1980s, and it quickly became a favorite of the Holy Childhood Schola Cantorum.
