Dosage Calculation Made Easy/Desired Over Have Dosage Calculation for Nurses and NCLEX Prep Part 1

Dosage Calculation Made Easy/Desired Over Have Dosage Calculation for Nurses and NCLEX Prep Part 1, with practice problems focused on oral medication for nurses, nursing students and NCLEX Prep. This video demonstrates step by step guide on dosage calculation using the Desired (Ordered) Over Have (Available) method for oral forms of medication (capsules, tablets and liquids). Before you begin your calculation, it is important that you determine the following: 1) What the question is asking you to solve: This is where you will determine the forms/route, the frequency, and also note if the solution is for an individual (per dose) dose or for the entire day (24 hours). 2) Is there a need for conversion? You need to make sure you are dealing with the same units before beginning your calculation. If not, then, you need to convert the units to the same units using the metric table. The video breaks it down on how to convert from one unit to another using proportion or ratio. Whether you are a nurse, or nursing students preparing for nursing school exam, NCLEX, ATI, HESI and any other exams, this video will break it down step by step on how to solve dosage calculations. #education #nclex #nursing #nclexreview #nclexstudyguide #nursingexam #internationallyeducatednurse #maths #pharmacology You can watch some of my other videos here:    • DVT and blood thinners      • DIABETES & HYPERTENSION   Please leave your comments.
