May.21 -- Taiwan is now asking the U.S. for help securing covid-19 vaccines as it races to contain an outbreak of untraceable infections. The island reported 286 new cases on Thursday and there are fears the spread could impact chip production and the wider economy if a full lockdown needs to be imposed.
