It doesn't easier than this… Here the Seagull Merlin is tuned D A DD (open D) I am using simple bar chords. open strings = D bar chord at 3rd fret = G bar chord at 4th fret = A With these 3 chords I can strum and sing many songs… this song "Likes Likker Better Than Me" is an example. I learned this song from a New Lost City Ramblers recording and they in turn learned it from a Woodie Brothers recording.
