Testing STAKE vs Wolfsbane against Miranda the final boss of RE 8 Village in the hardest difficulty (Village of Shadows). Some interesting factors before my final verdict: -Both clips have 3m 05 sec duration. -STAKE number of shots to transition boss at the beginning: 7 shots -Wolfsbane number of shots to transition boss at the beginning: 6 shots -STAKE time to phase boss at beginning: 10 sec (despite taking 1 hit) -Wolfsbane time to phase boss at beginning: 8 sec (no hit taken) -STAKE number of total shots to end the fight: 54 (with a margin of error) -Wolfsbane number of total shots to end the fight: 50 (with a margin of error) -STAKE last phase shots to kill/end the boss: 14 -Wolfsbane last phase shots to kill/end the boss: 13 -STAKE active fight duration: 2 min 22 sec (shot down orbs instead of DPS'ing boss) -Wolfsbane active fight duration: 2 min 21 sec (full damage on boss) -STAKE time to kill boss at last phase: 20 seconds -Wolfsbane time to kill boss at last phase: 20 seconds Final verdict: My final verdict will be based upon my personal experience rather than completely relying on statistics. Statistically the Wolfsbane magnum looks more powerful and can transition boss easier on top of dealing additional damage to lycans via armor penetration. Wolfsbane will most likely be preferred to push transitions as much as possible. However, STAKE offers more responsiveness and towards the end of the wolfsbane video I demonstrated how Wolfsbane's reload requirement can be fatal. Despite the statistics, I will express that I felt much more comfortable playing with STAKE. The higher uptime actually provides higher DPS and allows for a smoother gameplay. I intentionally took more hits while playing with STAKE yet I finished the fight approximately in the same time compared to my Wolfsbane play where I respected boss mechanics and made my shots count a bit more. During recording, I wanted to test both weapons in a realistic boss fight environment at the hardest difficulty where you had to dodge attacks, block and move. As I pointed out earlier I had the luxury of not worrying too much about mechanics when playing with STAKE. Personally speaking, STAKE is the winner for me since it provides much more versatility with its responsiveness, high damage, faster rate of fire and ammo clip superiority.
