(21 Jan 2007) HEADLINE: Manning Rallies Colts Into Super Bowl CAPTION: Peyton Manning threw for 349 yards and one touchdown and brought his team back from a 21-3 deficit, the biggest comeback in conference title-game history, as the Colts won the AFC championship. (Jan. 21) [Notes:ANCHOR VOICE] Natsound of Colts fan Colts fans enjoyed some good eats before the game, but their stomachs must have been churning when the patriots took a 21-to-3 lead in the second quarter. It took the Colts 18 1/2 minutes to tie the game. Peyton Manning began the comeback with a one-yard touchdown run, and after a one-yard TD pass to Dan Klecko, Manning hit Marvin Harrison for the game-tying two-point conversion. The pats regained the lead twice in the final fourth quarter on two Stephen Gostkowski field goals. But Manning threw for 57 yards on the winning drive.
