President Trump has tweeted he is prepared to go ahead with the second televised debate against his Democratic rival Joe Biden. The president returned to the White House from hospital and his doctors insist he's doing “extremely well”. Donald Trump said: "I feel great, better than I did 20 years ago. We're going back to work, as your leader I have to do that." After a day settling back at the White House, President Trump felt confident he could take part in the next televised presidential debate next week, he tweeted: "I'm looking forward to the debate on the evening of Thursday, October 15 in Miami. It will be great!" Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden said on Tuesday that he and President Donald Trump “shouldn’t have a debate” as scheduled next week if Trump still tests positive for the coronavirus. "I think if he still has Covid, then we shouldn’t have a debate,” Biden said while boarding a plane in Hagerstown, Maryland, back home to Delaware. Biden said he looked forward to being able to debate Trump—but the very strict guidelines would need to be met. The former vice president added that he was not aware of Trump’s status since the president returned to the White House on Monday after receiving treatment for Covid-19 at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. The second presidential debate is slated for October 15 in Miami, and the third and final debate is set for October 22 in Nashville. Biden tested negative for Covid-19 on Tuesday.
