Defeating the Thresher Maw in Insanity (Mass Effect 2)

This wasn't as nearly as hard as I thought it would be. I used Grunt (this is a requirement for this quest) and Zaeed. I chose Zaeed for his incineration grenades which are extremely useful when fighting the first two parts of the keystone (Varren and Rachni). Basically I wore the Thresher down with the M-98 Widow Anti-Material Rifle (obtained when you specialize on the Collector Ship). This weapon is ridiculously powerful against armor, and was quite useful in this battle. The Thresher has a projectile attack that destroys your shield. Strife back and forth to avoid this attack. If the Thresher does manage to hit you, or near you, cast Barrier (Fortification and Geth Shield work as well). Casting one of these three skills (hopefully you have one of these) will allow you to survive for the most part. I didn't die at all when fighting this thing, but the first two segments were a little harder, and I did have to reload a couple of times.
