Happy 4th of July, everybody. Since no one ever posts tutorials on how to do this, here is how I did it, at least: Created a video with the lyrics perfectly synced to an acapella (Lyrics only) version Made a new project in MoviePlus Imported the video and put it in the timeline Gave the video a Chroma Key effect on the white, with the 'high' set to '100' and the 'low' set to '0' Created two layers under the main video Added a pure white background to the bottom-most layer, and stretched it through the whole project Added a pure green background to the other layer and trimmed it until it was on screen for only as long as the first lyric Used 'transform' keyframes to stretch the green background to the points that the lyrics were being sung Added more green backgrounds and repeated for the rest of the lyrics For the points where there are two lines of lyrics, I had to create a third layer I added another pure white background and made it last as long as first line of the lyrics Used the 'transform' tool to stretch it so it only covers the bottom half of the lyrics Copied it so the transformation effect remained Trimmed copied background to the length of the lyric Used 'transform' keyframes to stretch the white background so the green reappeared when the lyrics were sung Repeated for the rest of the two-lined lyrics ~I do not own Viva la Vida, Coldplay, the lyrics, or the instrumental.
