In this video I show you how I installed an interlock, manual transfer switch, 50 amp receptacle, 50 amp breaker, and was able to power my home with a portable generator. On the Gulf Coast storms are common and hurricanes can be devastating. The last time we had a hurricane, we were without power for 7 days! After experiencing that, I decided it was time to install a generator receptacle and transfer switch instead of having a few items plugged in with extension cords all over the place.
