Scammers are sending random parcels with cheap products worth ₹500–₹700 to your name and address. Since many people usually pay small COD amounts without checking, it becomes an easy fraud. 📦 Here’s how the scam works: • Scammers get your address and phone number from old courier slips you throw away. • They send fake parcels with low-value items. • Even if a few people out of thousands pay, scammers make lakhs in bulk. • Once you pay, you’re tagged as an “active buyer,” and your data can be resold → meaning more scam parcels! ⚠️ What you must do: ✅ Never accept COD parcels without confirming with family members. ✅ If you accidentally paid, keep the parcel and file a complaint. ✅ Always black out or cut courier slips before throwing boxes away. ✅ Report scams on cybercrime.gov.in. ✅ Inform the courier company and avoid sharing your phone number everywhere—only use trusted platforms. 👉 Stay alert.
