Happy last Sunday of the year my Listeners and Viewers💓 I pray that God that has spared your life up till date shall see you alive into the year 2026. May you fully submit to God's discipline this 2026 in order to partake of His holiness, His wholeness and His abundance in Jesus Christ name🙏🏽 Today we are looking at the fulfillment of the prophesy that the Messiah, the Son of God, before He comes, a forerunner will come to prepare the way. Isaiah 40:3-4 NKJV [3] The voice of one crying in the wilderness: “Prepare the way of the Lord; Make straight in the desert A highway for our God. [4] Every valley shall be exalted And every mountain and hill brought low; The crooked places shall be made straight And the rough places smooth; The above prophesy came about 700 years before fulfillment while 400 years before fulfillment Malachi prophesied the same thing: Malachi 3:1 NKJV [1] “Behold, I send My messenger, And he will prepare the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, Will suddenly come to His temple, Even the Messenger of the covenant, In whom you delight. Behold, He is coming,” Says the Lord of hosts. Let's see the fulfillment through the testimony of John the Baptist, the forerunner himself. John 1:19-23 NKJV [19] Now this is the testimony of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, “Who are you?” [20] He confessed, and did not deny, but confessed, “I am not the Christ.” [21] And they asked him, “What then? Are you Elijah?” He said, “I am not.” “Are you the Prophet?” And he answered, “No.” [22] Then they said to him, “Who are you, that we may give an answer to those who sent us? What do you say about yourself?” [23] He said: “I am ‘The voice of one crying in the wilderness: “Make straight the way of the Lord,” ’ as the prophet Isaiah said.” It is important to clarify here that whenever Elijah is mentioned in relation to John the Baptist, it is not that Elijah reincarnated. Rather it is that John will come in the spirit and power of Elijah. Luke 1:17 NKJV [17] He will also go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, ‘to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,’ and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.” That was why John categorically said above that he isn't Elijah. Maranatha💓🥰 Our Lord Jesus is coming🙌🙌🙌
