In part two of this tutorial, I’ll show you how to crochet the solid granny square (make 12 of these for your blanket). I'll also show you how I arranged my squares to form the blanket. And lastly, I show you how to crochet the border. To make your crochet squares you will be working in the round. You can start your work by either: 1. Making a magic circle or 2. Chain 4, then slip stitch to the first chain to form a circle. IMPORTANT: If you choose method 1, make sure that you securely weave in the yarn tail to ensure that the middle of your square does not unravel. ==================== To join my squares, I used the flat slip stitch seam. I used Hobbii Rainbow Cotton 8/6: 2 balls in the colour beige (004); 7 balls in the colour baby blue (032); 1 ball in the colour white (001). To embroider the nose and eyes you’ll need some scrap worsted / aran weight yarn in the colour black. 🔹SUBSTITUTE YARN: #3 (fine) / DK / 8 ply.
