Count Dooku tried to make a Force-sensitive weapon for the Sith through the experimental transformation of General Grievous. This is evident in the shocking discovery that Jedi Master Sifo-Dyas's blood was used in the process of transforming Qymaen jai Sheelal into the cyborg warrior, General Grievous. However, the experiment ultimately failed as the frozen blood of Sifo-Dyas did not provide him with Force sensitivity. Despite this failure, Dooku still saw potential in Grievous and appointed him as the Supreme Commander of the Separatist’s Droid Armies. Dooku also gifted the cyborg with his first lightsaber, the weapon of Sifo-Dyas, as yet another way for the Sith to mock the Jedi.
