EDGE OF TOMORROW 4K UHD BLU-RAY REVIEW

EDGE OF TOMORROW 4K UHD BLU-RAY REVIEW

This is the collector's edition release of Edge of Tomorrow from Warner Bros. and it's a nice package. It cost £39.99 but when you think a 4K steelbook retails for £29.99 it's not really overly expensive. This was shot entirely on 35mm using anamorphic 35mm and Super 35 but only had a 2K video transfer probably due to so much of it being put through a computer to have the computer animation added which would have largely rendered a 4K transfer pointless. The aspect ratio is approximately 2.40:1 and sound is Dolby Atmos which sounded rather wonderful on my THX Ultra 5.1. 4K is immediately perceptibly superior to the Blu-ray owing to the density and superior colour provided by HDR.
