Welcome to the new Hyatt House Shibuya… Here’s a quick video review and how to book with points. First off the location in Tokyo is especially great for first time visitors. The hotel is a 6 minute walk to Shibuya Station, but one of the most underrated features about the location is the fact that you can access the JR Shibuya lines with a quick 2 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel is also a quick 8-10 minute walk to Shibuya Scramble and it’s easy to walk to most of the popular places to visit in Shibuya like cat street, Shibuya sky ect. Shibuya was the most crowded place I visited in Tokyo during this trip, especially on weekends, so if huge crowds aren’t your vibe I would recommend a quieter neighborhood. The base King room was nice and spacious as the video above shows. The best pros about the room are without a doubt the huge fridge/freezer and spacious bathroom/couch. With that being said the room isn’t necessarily the warmest and definitely a little sterile looking. My room had wonderful views over Shibuya. If you’re planning on staying at the Hyatt House Shibuya definitely set your expectations as this is definitely a limited service hotel, and not a hotel known for great dining/bar venues. However Shibuya is a very popular neighborhood and honestly there aren’t too many large international chain hotels in Shibuya compare to other areas of Tokyo. This is definitely a good use of points in Japan and I would stay here again on points, but if not using points I definitely think you could do a little better staying elsewhere in Tokyo.. . . . #pointsandmiles #hyatt #tokyo #tokyohotel #tokyoguide #shibuya #japantravel #visitjapan #awardtravel #visitjapan
