Good Friday 2020

GOOD FRIDAY - LIVESTREAM at 12:10PM On this day, in accordance with ancient tradition, the Church does not celebrate the Eucharist. The liturgy has three parts: Liturgy of the Word, Veneration of the Cross, and Holy Communion. The communion received comes from hosts consecrated on Holy Thursday. The vestments for Good Friday are red. Church bells are silent. Altars are left bare. The solemn, muted atmosphere is preserved until the Easter Vigil. You can access the worship aid for the Mass here: https://www.mbsoshkosh.com/documents/... ——— The cross for veneration will be in the breezeway side entrance after Good Friday Service. Because our attention is focused first on Our Lord’s passion and death on Good Friday, no adoration of the Blessed Sacrament takes place. The Blessed Sacrament will return to the breezeway after the Easter Vigil Saturday night, which is at 8:15 PM. ——— Please prayerfully consider giving to our parish, just as you would during the collection during Mass.
