🌅 Chhath Puja – Four Days Description 🪷 Day 1 – Nahay Khay (पहला दिन – नहाय खाय) पहले दिन को नहाय खाय कहा जाता है। इस दिन व्रती (उपवास करने वाले व्यक्ति) स्नान करके घर की सफाई करते हैं और पवित्र भोजन खाते हैं। इस दिन अरवा चावल, लौकी की सब्जी और चने की दाल का भोजन किया जाता है। इसे शुद्धता और भक्ति का प्रतीक माना जाता है। The first day is called Nahay Khay. On this day, devotees take a holy bath, clean their homes, and eat a pure vegetarian meal. They usually eat rice, bottle gourd curry, and lentils. This marks the beginning of purity and devotion. --- 🌞 Day 2 – Kharna (दूसरा दिन – खरना) दूसरे दिन को खरना कहा जाता है। इस दिन व्रती पूरा दिन निर्जला उपवास रखते हैं और शाम को सूर्यास्त के बाद खीर, रोटी और केले का प्रसाद बनाकर पूजा करते हैं। इसके बाद यही प्रसाद खाकर उपवास तोड़ा जाता है। The second day is known as Kharna. Devotees observe a day-long fast without water. In the evening, after sunset, they prepare offerings of rice pudding (kheer), bread (roti), and bananas. The fast is broken by eating this sacred food. --- 🌇 Day 3 – Sandhya Arghya (तीसरा दिन – संध्या अर्घ्य) तीसरे दिन व्रती शाम को डूबते हुए सूर्य को अर्घ्य देते हैं। इस दिन घाटों पर सुंदर सजावट की जाती है और पूरा माहौल भक्ति से भर जाता है। महिलाएँ नदी या तालाब में खड़ी होकर सूर्य देव की पूजा करती हैं। On the third day, devotees offer Sandhya Arghya (evening prayers) to the setting sun. Riverbanks and ponds are beautifully decorated, and the atmosphere is full of devotion. Women stand in water and offer prayers to the Sun God. --- 🌅 Day 4 – Usha Arghya (चौथा दिन – उषा अर्घ्य) चौथे दिन सुबह-सुबह उदयमान सूर्य को अर्घ्य दिया जाता है। इसके साथ ही व्रत का समापन होता है। लोग परिवार और समाज की सुख-समृद्धि के लिए प्रार्थना करते हैं और प्रसाद बाँटते हैं। The fourth day is Usha Arghya, when devotees offer prayers to the rising sun early in the morning.
