REFLECTION ON TODAY'S GOSPEL 01/20/2026 | Saturday for Whom? 📌 Reflection and Explanation of the Liturgy of the Day: Saturday for Whom? In the First Reading, from the First Book of Samuel, we are invited to reflect on how God acts in history. By choosing David, the youngest and seemingly insignificant in human eyes, the Lord teaches that He does not judge by appearances, but by the heart. This reading reminds us that God sees beyond what is visible, values humility, and calls simple people to great missions, inviting us to review our criteria and trust in His silent and faithful action. In the Psalm, we learn that it is God Himself who sustains and strengthens those He chooses. The figure of David reveals that true security does not come from human strength, but from the faithfulness of the Lord, who guides, protects, and remains faithful to His promises. To trust in God is to recognize that He is our rock and salvation. In the Gospel (Mark 2:23-28), Jesus teaches that the Law exists to serve life. By stating that "the Sabbath was made for man," He reveals that faith cannot be lived in a rigid and merciless way. The Son of Man presents himself as Lord of the Sabbath, showing that the true meaning of the Law is to promote the dignity, care, and liberation of humankind. 🌟 What you will learn: ✔ That God does not look at appearances, but at the heart. ✔ That true security comes from the Lord's faithfulness. ✔ That the Law must be at the service of life and human dignity. ✔ That mercy must prevail over religious rigor. ✔ That following Jesus is living a liberating faith full of compassion. 🙏 May this reflection help us to live a more human, merciful faith aligned with the heart of God. 🔔 Subscribe to the channel and turn on notifications to receive daily reflections that strengthen your spiritual journey. 📌 Share this video and bring the Word of God to more people! 🙏 May the Peace of Christ and the love of Mary illuminate your day!
