Tow Plow

Ride along with MoDOT Maintenance Crew Leader Ben Arnall as he uses one of MoDOT's tow plows to clear shoulders along I-44 in Springfield, MO. The tow plow allows MoDOT crews to clear multiple lanes with one dump truck. The tow plow is towed behind a snow plow and extends out across an adjacent lane so that the dump truck and the tow plow can clear a wide swath, freeing up additional plows to concentrate on other routes.
