A few days ago, Azerbaijani authorities started a full scale military actions along the old line of contact with Nagorno Karabakh and would consider it a preplanned aggression towards the people of Nagorno Karabakh. And it is today that the Azerbaijani armed forces are shelling Nagorno Karabakh cities and villages and its civilian population and infrastructure. And by the way, today the same thing happened with villages in the territory of Republic of Armenia. There are casualties among both military and civilians. Dozens are killed and hundreds are wounded. Today, the Azeri armed forces are continuing attacking action. By the way, it is very important to say that we have abundant evidence that Turkish military instructors and officers deployed in Azerbaijan are directly involved in military activities. What evidence do you have of Turkey's involvement on the ground? This is something that is strongly denied by Ankara. For example, Turkish fighter jets F-16 just now are flying over Nagorno Karabakh and are fully involved in the military actions. And by the way, Turkey does not make secret from that. And there are only two countries saying that they are going to solve Nagorno Karabakh conflict through military force. First, Azerbaijan. Second is Turkey. And so that's clear that Nagorno Karabakh and Armenia are facing an existential threat. You will be aware that President Erdogan of Turkey is accusing Armenia of inflaming the situation and accusing Armenia of creating regional instability. They should be concrete facts under any accusation.Becoming prime minister of Armenia, I proposed a concrete formula for Nagorno Karabakh conflict solution, and by the way, my belief is that there is no military solution to that conflict. And I proposed a formula that any solution of Nagorno Karabakh conflict should be equally acceptable for people of Armenia, for people of Nagorno Karabakh and feel for people of Azerbaijan. And I am first Armenian leader involved in the negotiation process saying that except Prime Minister, you haven't engaged in serious talks for the past two years. When you came into office, there was a sense that a new, fresh approach would be taken to Nagorno Karabakh and that hasn't been put in place. The accusation is that you have taken the same hard line approach, not least because you have said in the past that Karabakh is Armenian and yet you still expect to hold negotiations. That doesn't sound as though you are willing to compromise.I said already when I proposed that formula, that any solution of Gardnerville will Karabakh conflict should be acceptable for all parties. Now the skirmishes have started again, and it looks like it has the potential to spill over into a much more serious conflict. Why doesn't Armenia just say we don't want to fight? Why don't you declare a unilateral ceasefire?Because, as I said, Nagorno Karabakh now, just now is under existential threat. If Nagorno Karabakh won't fight, all Armenians in Nagorno Karabakh will be killed without any exaggeration. This morning, sir, the Azerbaijan ambassador to London said that his country just wanted the safe return of Azerbaijanis to their home in Nagorno Karabakh and that Armenia has rejected this. Do you agree? And why won't you allow Azerbaijanis to return to their homes? There is a huge misunderstanding on the core of the national Karabakh conflict, because if we would look at international media, we will see headlines that it is a territorial dispute between Armenia and Azerbaijan. It isn't a territorial dispute between Armenia and Azerbaijan. This is the simple attempt from the Armenians of Nagorno Karabakh to use the right of self-determination.Moscow has not immediately come to the support of Armenia. Are you disappointed by that?Moscow is formally and legally strategic partner of Armenia. But the fact is that now Moscow is totally neutral. It's quite clear that Russia is supplying arms to both Armenia and Azerbaijan, and it is party to the OSCE talks, which are supposed to mediate conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan. But today, the Kremlin has urged Turkey to work towards a ceasefire. Does that not strike you as strange? The Kremlin should be asking Turkey to do this.I think all international community should urge Turkey to stay out from this situation because Turkey's involvement in this whole conflict will make it even worse. But but isn't it the case that Turkey you're saying that Turkey is involved in this conflict? Moscow is, you are saying, remaining neutral. But it sounds as though diplomatically you are suggesting that there is disappointment on your part, that the Kremlin has not come to Armenia's aid.Russia.Is a member of Minsk Group or chairmanship, and to be honest, it is her duty to be neutral, but I think Russia and the United States and France should not only support stability and peace, but maybe make more efforts for that.
