❣ Hurricane Wilma | Lost Footage | Before, during and after

15th year anniversary 15 year anniversary Before I knew vlogging was even a thing, I picked up my camera as a teenager in 2005 to document my whole experience with Hurricane Wilma. A tropical depression formed in the Caribbean Sea near Jamaica on October 15, headed westward, and intensified into a tropical storm two days later, which abruptly turned southward and was named Wilma. Wilma continued to strengthen, and eventually became a hurricane on October 18. Shortly thereafter, explosive intensification occurred, and in only 24 hours, Wilma became a Category 5 hurricane with wind speeds of 185 mph (298 km/h). It hit south Florida as a category 3 hurricane. Wow the 2005 atlantic hurricane season! My family did not find out about the storm until hours before. Because of that, we were not prepared. We didn't have much can food, we had little gas in the car and not enough bottle water for a household of 8 people. We also lost power for 4 days. Which wasn't that bad considering most people in Florida did not get theirs back for weeks and even months! This video only told half the story of what went on. Maybe one day I can go into details on how bad it really got for us and other Floridians around us. Story time perhaps? We'll see! My fiance Xavier and I recently learned about Cander.com.
