SEE BELOW IN THE DESCRIPTION FOR IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING A MISTAKE I MADE IN THE VIDEO *At 00:42 I mean to say you want your animation starter pack, since that is what has the UE4 mannequin. *At 15:36 I make a mistake with the naming which caused my character to have a tapping foot. As long as you don't make the same error I do with the naming your ik should work with no tapping. The naming for the two ik VB bones is actually backwards, it should be the following: right click root -- add virtual bone -- foot_l -- rename virtual bone to foot_target_l (do the same for the other foot) right click root -- add virtual bone -- foot_r -- rename virtual bone to foot_target_r I apologize for any confusion I might have caused, I do not know how I managed to do the two last virtual bones backwards. *At around 39:52 you shouldn't have to reset the knee control positions for the Metahuman. But it does show you how to do it incase you ever need to make adjustments to them. Hey there, everyone. I made this tutorial because with Metahuman right around the corner I figured a lot of you might be wondering how to make a Metahuman character work with ALS. I know I struggled trying to get it to work myself. This tutorial will take you from the start with a fresh project and show you step by step in order to get it to work along with feet ik. Things to make sure you have in your project: ALS Files Imported Metahuman from Quixel Metahuman project files migrated in (Shown how in the video) Animation starter pack (can be found on the marketplace) Things to note: When you import your Metahuman into your project it should ask you to enable 3 plugins if you haven't already. Just hit enable for all three.
