Yo guys. Welcome back I’m very excited to bring you my pet rocks in action against the retro cup meta. The team today is a spicy one but insanely fun to use. Rank 3 XL Medicham lead with counter, ice punch & psychic Alolan Golem closer with volt switch, rock blast & wild charge Alolan Graveler safe switch with volt switch, rock blast & stone edge This team is ROCK solid ✌️😅 no joke. This team is insanely high damage. Alolan graveler is an insane safe switch for the current meta as it handles pretty much everything and is only countered by the counter users. You can normally do a lot of damage before it goes down so it can definitely hold its own. Let’s explain the team. Medicham is your cover for your backlines weakness. I tried hypno but really didn’t do so well as the meta is filled with normal Pokémon and shadow claw/lick users. Medhicham does well against the normal types as the lick damage adds up but you resist a lot of the normal charge moves plus counter really adds up against them too. Therefore Medicham is a powerful lead you need to make it work. So let’s move on to Alolan Graveler, the rock that holds the team together. Volt switch is a phenomenal fast attack as it generates energy very quickly and because you have a really good move pool of charged attacks, we’ll your opponent will likely shield because the threat of stone edge is HUGE! Why go double rock 🪨 charge moves, well thunderbolt isn’t needed as you do tonnes of damage with volt switch and because it’s a ice/dragon/ghost/physics meta stone edge is the more heavy hitting energy efficient move. Stone edge hurts and when you can pair it up with a hard hitting rock blast, it’s very easy to bait your opponent as the risk from stone edge can definitely turn games around. Alolan graveler, I love it. Definitely the fundamental heart of the team. Now for Alolan Golem, we’ll what can I say about this rock type, it’s fundamentally identical to Alolan graveler, with a slightly worse stat pool, but what it loses in stats, it makes up for by having wild charge. Nothing needs to be said about stab wild charge especially since Alolan Golem has a high attack stat. This ABB team works well as you draw out the counters with Alolan graveler and even at a disadvantage it can gain a shield advantage or severally cripple the opposing Pokémon since it hits so hard. It’s a blast to use. I highly recommend housing Alolan graveler for any of the fun cups, it’s an absolute beast. If you want to try out this team before the retro cup ends in a few hours, I would say go for it if you want to have some consistent fun. This isn’t the best team out there and as an ABB team it has inherent weaknesses but it’s still great at smashing your opponent in a fun way so go for it. Thank you for reading and watching my video.
