Historically false and even impossible shippers like this one come to life when somebody works a miracle and casts Rufus Sewell as Lord Melbourne… and if we have the most gorgeous version of Lord M around, we tend to care less about Prince Albert turning up, and we, viewers, are having such a crush on RS that we wish for a different ending for the historical story… The chemistry between the Queen and her Prime Minister is undeniably radiant… Motion pictures are so great for many reasons, one of them is that they can actually show us an alternate history… Nowadays we need these stolen glances more than ever on the same things which could change at least on film and in our hearts. Then we take a deep breath, and eventually, we are glad to have Prince Albert for the British Monarchy. At the end of the day, he is one of the reasons why now Queen Elizabeth II is sitting on the throne. :-) Music by: Tracy Chapman
