Nathan Drake is pulled back into the world of thieves and treasure hunters when an old associate, Harry Flynn, recruits him for a museum heist to steal a Mongolian oil lamp linked to Marco Polo’s lost fleet. However, Drake is betrayed by Flynn and imprisoned. With the help of his old friend Victor "Sully" Sullivan and a new ally, Chloe Frazer, Drake escapes and uncovers clues that lead him to the Himalayas and eventually to the mythical city of Shambhala. As he follows Marco Polo’s trail, Drake learns that the Cintamani Stone—supposedly a powerful artifact—is being sought by a ruthless war criminal named Zoran Lazarević, who believes it grants invincibility. Alongside Chloe and journalist Elena Fisher, Drake races to stop Lazarević from obtaining the stone and using it for his own ends. The adventure spans various exotic locations including Borneo, Nepal, and the Tibetan mountains. It culminates in a dramatic showdown in Shambhala, where Drake must confront supernatural guardians, Lazarević’s army, and his own motivations.
