Unicorn Needle Felting Tutorial

Everything you wanted to know about needle felting: www.needlefeltingbasics.com Cute Unicorn Needle Felting Tutorial Video I'm really excited to share this Youtube video on how to needle felt tutorial because of all the DIY needle felting projects I have done, it is my favorite! I love unicorns and I love how this unicorn turned out. This project is a little different from my other tutorials because I show you how to use poly fill to save on wool when making larger pieces. The unicorn is a little bigger than some of my typical needle felting projects. It's also a little softer and squishier. When you use poly fill, I've found that the pieces come out a little more fluffy and a little less solid. So this unicorn wasn't the easiest project for me - I accidentally broke all 3 needles on clover pen at once 😱 AND I stabbed myself with the needle accidentally! I was working on the legs and forgot to put on my felting thimbles!!! So I shed blood for this unicorn... In this video I show you how to remove broken needles from your project, including how to cut open your felted piece, retrieve the needle(s), and felt it back together. It's a little setback that's not too difficult to deal with. I apologize for the blurry footage during this portion of the video, as I was kind of distracted by trying to fish out my needle and wasn't focusing on the quality of the video. I didn't even realize that I was still recording! But when I saw it, I thought it might be helpful to include in my video. Anyway, I hope you can learn from my mistake! Poke slowly especially when your wool gets firm or when you are working on small parts, pull your needle out from the same direction from which you inserted it, and watch your fingers!
