Filter coffee is an emotion for me. No matter where I go beyond Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, the first thing I crave upon returning is a good filter coffee. Especially in Bangalore, many Darshini hotels serve excellent filter coffee. My day starts with filter coffee, and the joy of drinking it is unmatched. Its aroma, the taste of the coffee decoction—it's soothing to the mind. Now, even at home, I use Salish coffee powder from Sakleshpur. Freshly roasted and ground coffee has such an irresistible aroma—Ah! The very thought of a hot cup of coffee right now is tempting. By evening, I lose count of how many cups of coffee I’ve had. That much coffee flows into my system. A perfect blend of 80% coffee and 20% chicory in fresh filter coffee feels like nectar to me. Coffee gives so much energy to the body, and amidst endless work, a cup of filter coffee makes both the mind and body feel light.
