In another setback to evacuation operations of those stranded in now Taliban ruled Afghanistan, the Kabul Airspace has been closed for commercial flights. NOTAM that is Notice to Airmen issued which means the scheduled Air India flight which was supposed to depart from Delhi at 12:50 PM to reach Kabul cannot operate for now. However, those who decided to leave Afghanistan have now returned to issue damage control. The US Forces are seen taking steps to retake Kabul Airport. However, the US forces had to fire shots in air against mobs attacking the Tarmac. Most likely that 2-3 casualties have been reported from Kabul airport during this gunfire to control the chaos and commotion by anxious crowd.
