Rasim Çubukçu was born in 1952 in Maçka (Trabzon), Turkey. He graduated from the İstanbul Atatürk Education Institute in 1973. In 1992, he completed his undergraduate degree in Painting at Karadeniz Technical University (KTÜ). Educator, Artist, and Cultural Pioneer Çubukçu worked as an art teacher and art educator for many years, serving in both public and private institutions between 1973 and 2012. He played a key role in the development and institutionalization of visual arts in Trabzon. He contributed to the establishment and continuation of the Trabzon Fine Arts Gallery and was involved in the foundation of the Trabzon Fine Arts High School, particularly in shaping its painting department. He is also known for his work on children's drawings and art education at the preschool and primary school levels.
