Based on Psalm 37 and edited by Natasha Sistrunk Robinson, the contributions are written by women of color. Join them on Zoom. Contact Nora Krahn at 612-801-9300 for the link. CONTINUING OUR “VITAL CONVERSATIONS ABOUT RACE: White People Talking to White People”. A five-week book discussion starting 9am Sunday, February 12. If you identify as a white person, you are strongly encouraged to come and "do the work" — however, all are welcome. The book “Be the Bridge: Pursuing God's Heart for Racial Reconciliation” by LaTasha Morrison has 10 chapters and we will cover the discussion questions of 2 chapters in each of our 5 meetings to help us develop racial literacy and cultural humility in the context of our faith in Christ. It is a deeper dive into the knowledge every Christ follower needs to overcome the sins of ignorance and prejudice that are common in our community and world. The goal is to help us fulfill our responsibility to "do the work" through publicly available and acclaimed authors on the topic, rather than expecting the people of color in our lives to educate us. Facilitated by Chris Bennett Gagner and Joanna Hallstrom. Contact Joanna 612-804-8259 or [email protected] to sign up or for help ordering the book. NEW WINTER PARKING REGULATIONS … No parking on the “even” sides of Oakland Avenue (west side) and 34th Street (north side). If you are able-bodied, please park in that lot and leave space for those who require close proximity. YELLOW PRAYER CARDS are available in the pews for your prayer requests. Congregational Care Minister Erin Brekke and the prayer team lift up all the requests in prayer, or follow up with a call if requested.
