One bright day, five little ducklings Waddled down to the sparkling stream Mama Duck said, “quack-quack, babies!” And four ran back with a happy scream Then four little ducklings giggled Flying over a tiny hill Mama Duck called, “where are you, darlings?” And three came back, calm and still Three little ducklings splashing Dancing in the gentle rain Papa Duck said, “come on, duckies!” And two ran back home again Two little ducklings laughing Playing by the sunset lake Little Duck said, “quack-quack, buddy!” And one came back with a shake One little duckling wandering Walking down the sandy shore Big Ducks called, “come home now, sweetheart!” And five came back through the door!
