Life is Strange: Before the Storm is a three-episode prequel to Life is Strange that takes place three years before the events of the first part. You play as 16 year old Chloe Price, who befriends Rachel Amber, a beautiful and popular girl who has achieved success in everything. When Rachel discovers a secret about her family, her world is in danger of disappearing, and her newfound friendship with Chloe will give her the strength to move on. Shoulder to shoulder, the girls will have to confront their inner demons and together find a way to overcome them. The prequel takes place in 2010, three years before the events of the first season of Life Is Strange, shortly before Joyce Price married David Madsen. The game features characters such as William Price, Frank Bowers, Nathan Prescott and Victoria Chase, as well as supporting characters such as a truck driver. The story will center around Chloe's life, her sophomore year at Blackwell, her relationship with Rachel, and the events that bonded Chloe to Rachel so strongly. Max Caulfield does not appear in Before the Storm, as she was not in Chloe's life at the time. However, Chloe senses her absence and thinks about her throughout the game.
