Practice the alphabet with "Learn the Letters with Me" by Jack and Oatmeal from The Zinghoppers! This video includes corresponding objects that begin with the letter sound. Additionally, we introduce letter sounds through a catchy phonics song with TWO words for each letter, where we play guitar and sing each letter’s name. Kids can hear us pronounce each letters sound, next to big visuals of the letter. It’s an entertaining, straightforward method for kids to master letter sounds and names! Fun follow-up activity: Kids can string letter beads onto pipe cleaners or yarn to create wearable spelling "name" bracelets. They can pick out their names and its sounds as each letter appears on the video. This is a fun interactive way to reinforce what they're learning! We’re thrilled you’ve found us! We’re Jack and Kitty, high school sweethearts and best friends since we were 14, now married soulmates. We’ve worn lots of hats over the years — traveling the country in our old beat-up pickup truck as bluegrass musicians, playing rowdy tunes in honky-tonks back in the day, teaching preschool, writing books, and even serving as ordained ministers! But through it all, two things never changed: our love for each other and our passion for educating, entertaining, and inspiring folks. Today, from our preschool show to the pages of our books, our mission is to spread joy and celebrate the simple things in life. Our colorful Zinghoppers characters (Penelope the Possum, Olo the Donkey, Coconuts the Kangaroo, and their pals) were born in our classroom as sock puppets. When parents and fellow teachers kept asking for more, we knew we had something special. So, we hit the road as digital nomads, traveling the back roads of America’s heartland, and started a blog to share our songs and stories with families and educators. We’re not fancy folks with deep pockets, but we pour our hearts into everything we do. From writing the songs and creating animations to "lending" our voices to our Zinghoppers friends, Jack and I do it all ourselves. Why? Because we believe in spreading hope, kindness, and good old-fashioned honesty to the world — one child at a time. To all the teachers, parents, and caregivers out there shaping young hearts and minds: YOU are our heroes. Thank you for nurturing imagination and learning. We’re so grateful to be on this journey with you! With love, Jack & Kitty 💛 © The Zinghoppers Group, LLC. All rights reserved.
