Canada currently has 89,976 confirmed cases of COVID-19, accounting for 1.5% of global cases (the U.S. currently accounts for 29.4% of global cases). Last week, Trudeau used part of his daily address to the nation to condemn an uptick in COVID-19-related incidents of anti-Asian discrimination and violence. ‘Hate, violence and discrimination have no place in Canada,’ he said.
