As James finds an abandoned radio inside a house, the radio suddenly crackles to life — and that’s when we have our first true encounter with something deeply disturbing. A creature lying motionless on the ground, its upper body wrapped in flesh like a twisted straitjacket, resembling a patient from a mental institution. It doesn’t move at first… until it does. This is my first time playing Silent Hill 2, and the tension hits immediately after getting the radio. Between the eerie atmosphere, the sound design, and that moment where you realize you’re not alone, this game wastes no time getting under your skin.
