As per the reports, at least 8 persons, including two senior citizens and an 8-year-old girl, died and over 3,000 people rescued after an alleged gas leak from a chemical plant in Vizag on Thursday early morning. As per reports, the leakage happened around 2:30am at LG Polymers industry at RR Venkatapuram. LG Polymers was established in 1961 as "Hindustan Polymers" for manufacturing Polystyrene and its Co-polymers at Visakhapatnam, India. Merged with Mc Dowell Co. Ltd. of UB Group in 1978. आंध्र प्रदेश के विशाखापट्टनम में एक फार्मा कंपनी में गैस लीकेज का मामला सामने आया है. यह घटना गुरुवार सुबह हुई. इसके बाद पूरे शहर में तनाव का माहौल है. विशाखापट्टनम नगर निगम के कमिश्नर ने कहा कि शुरुआती रिपोर्ट के अनुसार पीवीसी या स्टेरेने गैस का रिसाव हुआ है. रिसाव की शुरुआत सुबह 2.30 बजे हुई. गैस रिसाव की चपेट में आस-पास के सैकड़ों लोग आ गए और कई लोग बेहोश हो गए, जबकि कुछ लोगों को सांस लेने में दिक्कत हो रही है.
