90-Minute Yoga Nidra for Insomnia and Deep Sleep Welcome to this yoga nidra for insomnia and deep sleep. This yoga nidra meditation with soft ocean wave sounds is designed to help you fall asleep any time of the night that you need it. Do this practice from the comfort of your bed, and be guided by Loren Runion for 33 minutes of deep relaxation, and then drift away to deep sleep while listening to 1 hour of soft waves playing. This relaxation meditation for insomnia is meant to help reduce the stress and anxiety of not being able to fall asleep. Teaching you how to get out of the mind and into the body so you can calm the nervous system and get the deep sleep you crave and deserve. (A fun story about this recording. While recording this yoga nidra a cardinal came to the outside of the room I was in and sang a song. He wanted to be heard, and if you listen closely you can hear it in parts of the recording (he blends in beautifully with the recording). I left his song in there, as cardinals are special to me, but I also feel like he showed up for someone else out there that needed to hear his song.) Yoga Nidra is a practice and a state. It is an accessible practice that allows you to improve your well-being by decreasing stress and anxiety. Yoga nidra impacts your hormones that create the stress response in your body. When you are in an anxious state, your body is responding by staying in high alert and pumping cortisol, keeping you in a loop of anxiety and stress.
