Who poses the greatest threat to Islam, the Jews or the Shiites? || Sheikh Ibn Baz (رحمه الله تعالى)

Question: We know that the Nusayris, Jews, and Shia-Imamites are all enemies of Islam. Could you clarify which of them poses the greatest danger to Islam and is the most hostile to it? Answer: All adherents of innovation are evil to Islam. The Nusayris, as is well known, are Batynites, and they are unbelievers who are known to be Batynites from among the Rafidites. The Imamis are also Rafidites from among the Batynites, who worship members of the Prophet's family and believe that they possess knowledge of the unseen. The Shia Imamis are Rafidis, and the Rafidis insult Abu Bakr and Umar (may Allah be pleased with them), deify Ali and the twelve Imams from Ahl al-Bayt. They worship them, consider them infallible, and claim that they know the unseen, as well as spread other grave misconceptions. There is no doubt that they are among the enemies [of Islam], and the evil and discord they sow among Muslims are part of their plot, the cause of disunity among Muslims and the fact that many of them fall under the influence of these Nusayris and Rafidi Imamis. The same applies to the Kharijites, Mu'tazilites, Jahmites, and other adherents of innovation that have spread among Muslims. However, our righteous predecessors (the Salaf) recognized their machinations and their errors, so they ignored them and fought those who deserved it. They waged war against the enemies of Allah, fought in the way of Allah, raised the banner of Islam, and paid no attention to these misguided ones—neither the Shiites, nor the Kharijites, nor the others. Sometimes they fought them, and sometimes they focused on the fight against open unbelievers, opposing them, leaving [the heretics] for another time. It is well known that an enemy pretending to be a Muslim is more dangerous to Muslims than an open enemy. A hypocrite who claims to be a Muslim but remains a hypocrite in his heart and acts against Muslims through his actions and machinations is more dangerous to them than open unbelievers. This is precisely why the hypocrites have fallen into greater error than the avowed unbelievers and will end up at the very bottom of Hell—may Allah protect us! Why? Because outwardly they displayed Islam, but inwardly they lied and plotted. The same applies to all those like them: the Nusayris, the Rafidis, and others.
