The play-in tournament adds additional mystery to how the seeding will end up in the NBA and several mid-tier playoff teams have complained about the play-in tournament being around. So will the NBA opt to keep the play-in tournament around or will they look for another solution to help prevent tanking. With the Jazz likely ending up in the first or second seed the play-in tournament will directly impact them and depending on how the standings wrap up the Jazz could face the Mavs, Lakers, Blazers, Warriors, Grizzlies, or Spurs. This is way different than a normal season where the first/second seed only have a few teams that they might play this late in the season.
