The hosts have won all seven tosses so far, with Shan Masood, Salman Ali Agha and Shaheen Shah Afridi being the captains who managed to flip the coins in their favour. Aiden Markram, Donovan Ferreira and Matthew Breetzke haven't been getting it right during the toss for the tourists. However, the African team has managed to keep the series alive on this hard-fought tour. For a change, Pakistan decided to bat first in the second ODI on Thursday. They lost Fakhar Zaman for a duck in the opening over. Nandre Burger breathed fire and picked up three wickets in his new ball spell, reducing Pakistan to 22/3, with both the experienced Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan departing cheaply. Saim Ayub and Salman Ali Agha rebuilt the sinking ship with a 92-run fourth-wicket partnership. Both scored their respective fifties. Ayub was the aggressor, scoring 53, while Agha milked 69 off 106 balls. Ayub and Hussain Talat were dismissed in quick succession post the big partnership, with Agha needing to do the dirty work in the middle order. Mohammad Nawaz came in and played positively, adding a 59-run sixth-wicket stand with the Pakistan's T20I captain, before Nawaz started his attacking cricket and joined hands with Faheem Ashraf to step on the accelerator pedal. Nawaz smashed a cracking half-century, scoring run-a-ball 59, while Faheem hit a quickfire 28. Useful runs from Mohammad Wasim Jnr and Naseem Shah towards the end saw Pakistan post a challenging 269/9. Burger was the pick of the bowlers for South Africa and finished with 4/46. Nqaba Peter impressed with his three-wicket spell, while the ever-consistent Corbin Bosch took a couple of wickets. George Linde had an off day, but Bjorn Fortuin and Ferreira bowled tidy 10-over spells to keep the scoring rate in check. Lhuan-dre Pretorius and Quinton de Kock continued from where he left off in the series opener. The southpaws set a solid base to the run chase with an opening stand of 81 runs, before Pretorius was dismissed by Wasim Jnr for 46.
