In this video, I do a quick flipthrough and give a mini tour of my #Hobonichi Weeks 2023 and how I use it so far. This is my second Weeks book. The first one I had was a cream-colored one back in 2021. I learned about the brand--and the Weeks in particular--from one of my favorite content creators: Abbey Sy. I immediately fell in love with the simplicity of this techo and I really liked the layout. I was hoping there would be another Tomitaro Makino in their January-start lineup for 2023, but since there wasn't one I went with the Hanataba English version. I learned very recently that "hanataba" means "a bunch of flowers" or "a bouquet" and the cover art for this was done by Ichiro Yamaguchi. For the "year at a glance" page, I note my daily number of steps. For the monthly pages, I just note birthdays, weddings, anniversaries and other sorts of notable activities (mostly for work). I also don't like using journals early--so if the journal is meant for 2023, I will start using it on January 1, 2023. However, the Weeks start early (first week of December 2022) so I cover the dates with stickers and use those early pages as different trackers. The trackers I have are: games played grooming tracker (to keep track of things such as when was the last time I had a haircut, brow thread, etc.) packages received (just to note when I received a package and what was in it) product tracker (to remember when I first opened a product and when it is emptied) gift planner bills schedule (just a quick reference of when my bills are due) Most of my main notes are then placed in my weekly spreads. I'm more of a chronicler than a planner so most of what I write are just notes of what happened, my time in and time out at work, etc. Sometimes, when I feel like it, I do place tasks. I also do some doodles of what the weather was like in a given day. On the right side of the spread (the blank space) I write a mini habit tracker, jot down my expenses, and list my meals. Writing down what I eat may look as completely unnecessary to most people but I do find it helpful especially health-wise. Many a time it has helped when going for check ups or just looking back at whether my fever or LBM may have been caused by something else or just by something I ate. After the weekly spreads are the "Notes" section which consist of blank pages. In there I write down my "collections" -- it's where I list the movies and TV series I watched and the books I read. Any spillover from the weekly spreads are also continued in this section. At the back pages, the only thing I really make use of is the "My 100" page which I named "Things to Buy and Things to Try". In it I just write down all the things I want to buy and some experiences I want to try. #bulletjournal #flipthrough
