It’s Mental Health Awareness Week and our founder, Debbie, has taken the opportunity to send a message to those of you who’ve supported our community so far, been a part of it, or may come to find out about us in the future. Debbie accepts that for a long time she struggled to feel she could talk openly about her own mental health journey and about her lived experience of a restrictive eating disorder. Today, she’s proud to be heading our organisation and to be able to talk so candidly about all that she’s learned, and about what she helps other individuals and families through on a daily basis. The theme for this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week is Kindness, so Debbie, and all of us here at Wednesday’s Child, ask you all to be even more kind and considerate this week. Be kind to others…and be kind to you. Let us know if that kindness journey should start with turning the key to our door and discovering Wednesday’s Child.
