A House Divided - The Walking Dead - Season 2 - Episode 2

Season 2 of The Walking Dead continues with episode two, and this time Clementine is in for a surprise... P.S. Do not read below this line if you do not know what's going to happen! As episode two starts, we find Nick and Clem in some random shelter in the forest, holding off the zombies that are trying to break in. After securing the door (Nick didn't seam too enthusiastic about doing it) Clem finds home brewed whiskey in some jars, which Nick starts drinking. Later Clem wants to make a run for it, but Nick is really depressed and doesn't care anymore. Clem manages to talk sense into him and after trying to run and getting surrounded, Nick draws the walkers towards him so that Clem can escape. After getting back to the cabin in the woods, Clem and Sarah are left alone as the others go out. Meanwhile, a stranger visits the cabin, Sarah recognises him and she hides. Clementine manages to deal with him and covers up Sarah's presence as he searches the cabin but after not finding anything, he leaves. This guy is definitely up to no good... When everyone returns, they decide to leave. A bit later the group, lead by Clem, manage to find Nick barricaded in the shed he and Clem took shelter earlier. Nick has a hangover from the whiskey, but he's alive. The group heads North towards the mountains, hoping to escape the "mysterious stranger". The story skips ahead to a bridge cross towards a ski resort in the mountains. Clem and Luke go ahead alone to scout. Nick offers to join, but Luke doesn't want to have him around right now. After clearing the bridge, Luke and Clementine are met by a man on the others side. He seams friendly and offers them food and shelter. Nick catches up from behind, the stranger gets scared and raises his gun towards Nick, but Nick shoots him without thinking and the man falls off the bridge. As the group goes over the bridge, they investigate the nearby cabin and finds that the man they just killed was telling the truth, as he did have food in his cabin for them. Clem also picks up a custom hunting knife from the same cabin. They don't have much time to rest as a horde of walkers is comming up over the bridge, so the group heads uphill towards the ski resort. Up at the ski resort, they stumble upon another group of survivors. To her surprise, Clemetine recognises an old friend, Kenny. The two groups can now trust each other, so Walter, the resort group's leader, invites everyone in. Enjoying a brief moment of warmth and safety, the two groups have a little time to socialize around a Christmass tree, a fireplace and a cooked meal. Clementine meets the others, Sarita, Kenny's girlfriend, Walter which seams to be a very good person, and catches up with Kenny who appears different than what she'd remembered. As Walter and the others keep worrying about one other member of their group, Matthew, which went scouting earlier and was due back but is not arriving, Clem, Luke and Nick realise that the guy who they met on the bridge was Matthew. The situation gets critical as Walter finds Matthew's hunting knife in Clem's bag, but both Clem and Nick come forth and admit the truth so Walter silently forgives Nick. Things come to an abrupt and dramatic ending as the group first has to fend off a horde of walkers that get drawn in by the noisy wind generator, after which the mysterios stranger and his group shows up armed with assault rilfes, gunning down all walkers and taking most people hostage. Rebecca Alvin and Clem hide on the second floor, and Carver (the mysteros stranger) is torturing Carlos demanding everyone to surrender. Clem sneaks out through the window to find Luke and Kenny, hoping to get help. She finds Kenny but there's no trace of Luke who was last seen heading off together with Kenny. When asked, Kenny said he sent Luke off for being annoying and that he doesn't know where he is now. Meanwhile Alvin and Rebecca surrendered, and as Kenny shoots one of Carver's (the mysterious stranger) man's through the window, Carver grabs Walter and shoots him in the head. Then he pulls out Alvin from the group. Enraged, Clem encourages Kenny to take the shot, and Kenny manages to drop Carver. But Carver is not get killed, so he shoots Alvin, then pulls Sarita from the group and threatens her too. Clem and Kenny surrender. Carver is satisfied and rounds everyone up to head back to his camp. He notices Luke is not around and figures he ran away like a coward. Episode two ends as they leave the resort, with a big question as to what's going to happen to them, and whether Luke really ran away, is hiding somewhere hoping to intervene later, or if he got shot by Kenny who disliked him...
