Futaba breaks up with Kou because she thinks that is what she wants, as they've been together since they were younger and she wants to date other people. She breaks up with Kou, even though she is still in love with him, and he loves her too. She remembers how she felt with him and reminds herself that they are 'over'. Time goes by, Futaba can't move on. She realizes how much she really loves Kou and regrets breaking up with him over something so stupid. She tells him she misses him - he surprises her saying he's moved on. But he will always love her as she was his first love. They stay as friends, which is hard for her but she decides she needs to stop feeling down about herself and move on & be happy. Tanaka comforts and encourages her. Time passes, Futaba becomes happy and realizes everything happens for a reason. And she's the best thing that Kou will never have (again). Because she realizes her worth and she's ready to fall in love again with someone new C: EDITOR NOTES.
