Desired and accepted by God Song of Solomon 7:10, "10 I am my beloved's, and his desire is toward me." These scriptures portray marriage as an analogy of Christ and the Church. Revelation 21:2 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, 'Come!' And let him who hears say, 'Come!' And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely. The book of Ephesians expands on this analogy. Ephesians 5:22-27, “22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. 24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. 25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.” God loves you and me and His desire is toward us. He proved it when He sent His Son to take the punishment we deserve. God owns everything and everyone, but there will be a time when judgement will come, and the only ones who remain with God will be the ones He accepts because of their faith in Jesus. Ephesians 1:6,7, " 6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. 7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;"
