(Gemmy) Life Size Animated Cauldron Witch

Yes, I know this video is super late… but I literally finished fixing this less than hour ago, and I really wanted to post this today. I got this earlier this month, but the story of how I got this goes all the way back to 2011… This is probably gonna be a pretty long description lol. There’s this Halloween event I’ve gone to every year ever since 2011. They have a bunch of carnival type of stuff, a corn maze, a haunted house, etc. but they also have a gift shop, which is where I got this. Years ago they used to sell a ton of cool stuff. They sold the PBC animated ghouls gone wild, and I still have a complete set of 3 I bought when they came out (they aren’t in the greatest shape now, but Im definitely going to eventually fix them up and post a video of them), They never had many gemmy items, but to this day they still get a few every once in a while. A few years ago they had animated projectors, and they had that perverted skeleton candy bowl too. Back in 2014 (or around then) I remember them selling the gemmy sassy cauldron witch too, and they surprisingly didn’t have any leftover even just the next year. For whatever reason though, to this day they have 5 Cauldron witches… this being one of them. They also had a Medusa and a Ghostly Doorman, and they still have a Magic Power heads off Helga and a gemmy Snow White witch (it’s literally missing all the poles and the base, though). I do still hope to save both of those next year… Unfortunately, The Doorman was used outside last year and I’m pretty sure it got thrown out, so yeah… This place treats their items like absolute garbage. This is the last of the Cauldron Witches to still have the cauldron, and they have literally had them since they were brand new. This one had the box until last year as well, but it got thrown away since then… Medusa’s condition got way worse since last year too, but luckily I was able to save that one as well, it might be a while until it’s fixed and I can post a video though… Going back to this witch, despite it sitting in a store for 13 years, this thing definitely has quite a story behind it. At some point someone literally braided the hair, probably just some kid in the gift shop lol. They have an area with tables to eat right next to the store and these life sizes are in the middle of the 2 so there would be a TON of bored children sitting around… and I was one of them for years. I’ve seen this same exact witch there for as long as I can remember. As well as the other 4, but those are just kinda thrown in random places and they keep them collapsed lmao. This is the only one that was properly on display most years. She was obviously in much better condition back then though… and it’s crazy, because this place literally never changed the prices on any of these things despite them getting absolutely destroyed… and their prices are already high with it being a gift shop.. This thing was $350, But I’ve had my heart set on owning this exact one for as long as I can remember, and it was worth it. When I got her this year it was absolutely filthy and smelled terrible. While it was in the store literally the only thing that worked was the eyes. I’m pretty sure the rest was just locked up though, because once I got it home and properly tested it everything worked other than the cauldron and head bobbing. Both of those just needed new gears and now they work great. The worst part of it was cleaning it, but that wasn’t too difficult. I had to scrub the hell out of the cauldron because it was literally caked in dirt though… as well as the base. I also washed the clothes, and I had to comb all of the knots out of her hair. But now she is in pretty much perfect condition, and I couldn’t be happier with it. The lights in the cauldron are a little finicky, but I think it’s just the adapter (the lights and mist run off a separate, 24V adapter), I’ll eventually have to try to find a new one for it, but I probably won’t use the mist effect much anyways so it doesn’t bother me too much for now. I’m so happy to finally own this after all these years, and Medusa too! I actually never knew Medusa was still for sale until this year so getting her was a huge surprise, hopefully I’ll have a video out of that in the coming months… If you read this far, thank you a ton, and enjoy!
